There is perhaps no greater tragedy in life than a parent having to cope with the loss of one of their own children. I don’t pretend to have a clue the pain these brave souls must endure. One such father facing this gut-wrenching crisis choose to write a letter to his daughter who was diagnosed with an incurable condition known as motor neuron disease.
The man’s daughter, Lucy Lintott, was given the shocking news nearly three years ago, when she just 19 years of age. The illness is a rare one, wreaking havoc on the nervous system until those who have it essentially become prisoners in their own body. And 90% of the people diagnosed with MND pass away within three years. Lucy’s father had some extremely heart-felt words he wanted her to hear.
