I got an e-mail titled “Smoke Break” from a Marine Chiver named Chris Abaire. With a title like that, I expected to open it to find a bunch of goofy pics of guys relaxing during deployment.
That wasn’t the case.
From Chris’ e-mail:
“Two of my buddies in this photo were injured in combat on tour in Afghanistan with 3rd Battalion 2nd Marines. Both are alive today and attached are pictures of both after the deployment.”
