Most folks probably don’t remember the 1999 hockey flick, Mystery Alaska. If you do, then kudos because it’s arguably one of the greatest sports movies ever made.
Basically a local pond hockey team led by veteran player, Russell Crowe invites the New York Rangers to come play against them on their home ice in the town of Mystery, Alaska.
The serious tone of the film is balanced out by comedic small-town shenanigans and of course, a perfectly timed Mike Myers cameo.
