This week marks the 88th anniversary of pilot, Amelia Earhart’s untimely and mysterious disappearance.
In 1932, Earhart became the first woman in history to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean.
Her greatest attempt was that of circumnavigating the globe. On July 2, 1937 Earhart and navigator, Fred Noonan disappeared in the vicinity of Howland Island in the central Pacific Ocean.
