Father, husband, and actor James Van Der Beek has passed away at the age of 48 years old. As hard as he fought – and boy, did he ever fight – Van Der Beek ultimately couldn’t overcome his battle with colorectal cancer.
Fans always say, “This one hurts” when a celebrity dies. Well I’ll go ahead and say it…this one hurts. Van Der Beek’s wife Kimberly posted this heartbreaking message to her Instagram page…
“Our beloved James David Van Der Beek passed peacefully this morning. He met his final days with courage, faith, and grace. There is much to share regarding his wishes, love for humanity, and the sacredness of time. Those days will come. For now we ask for peaceful privacy as we grieve our loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend.”
