Vermont’s finest are coming back.
The Broken Lizard crew are all returning for Super Troopers 3.
According to Deadline, Jay Chandrasekhar is returning to direct and suit up as Thorny, alongside the gang: Kevin Heffernan (Farva), Steve Lemme (Mac), Paul Soter (Foster), and Erik Stolhanske (Rabbit).
Also returning: Brian Cox as Captain John O’Hagan and Marisa Coughlan as Ursula Hanson. New faces include Nat Faxon, Chace Crawford, and Andrew Dismukes.
“Broken Lizard has been part of the Searchlight family for over two decades, and we couldn’t be more thrilled for another entry in the Super Troopers saga,” said Searchlight President Matthew Greenfield. “Super Troopers has a way of making the absurd feel inevitable, and we can’t wait to bring audiences along on another adventure with these characters who leave a trail of joy and laughter, wherever their patrols may take them.”
Chandrasekhar added, “Broken Lizard is excited to help bring the theatrical comedy back. To America, we say, ‘It’s mustache-growing time!’”
The threequel, titled “Super Troopers: Winter Soliders,” is currently filming and doesn’t yet have an official release date.
The original Super Troopers hit theaters in 2001 and became a highly quotable cult classic.
