Ryan Coogler’s period thriller Sinners just made cinema history. The Academy announced its 2026 Oscar Nominations and Sinners hit the lotto. The film has been nominated for a record-high 16 awards.
The accomplishment is no small feat, as that number shatters the previous record of 14 nominations held in a 3-way tie by La La Land, All About Eve, and Titanic.
In that light, we wanted to go back and take a look the juggernaut films of awards season. We’ve compiled the movies throughout history that have earned 13 or more Academy Award Nominations. I’ll just say this…it’s an exclusive list.
