It’s hard to believe that a quarter of a century ago, I was sitting down on a Friday night, watching the premiere episode of The X-Files. I never missed an episode, and collected all the books, memorabilia, now, I’m rewatching select episodes of the show on Netflix whenever I’m bored. Twenty five years ago, this show changed genre television and defined and brought to life the fears of a generation.
Now, the show’s a cultural icon. And yet, I know that not every episode was a home run, but to be honest, if I were to make a list of the episodes I hated, it’d be shorter than a list of the ones I loved. So instead, to celebrate the anniversary, these are 25 of my favourite episodes.
