Most people know that 4/20 is associated with smoking marijuana but not too many people know how that came to be. Well back in 1971, five high school students from San Rafael, CA used the term in connection with a plan to search for an abandoned cannabis crop. The group, self-named the Waldos, would meet at a Louis Pasteur statue on their campus at 4:20 pm.
