Tighten your skates, a fresh sheet of NHL memes has hit the ice.
The 2025-26 NHL season is slated to begin on October 7, including 1,312 games across 32 teams. There’s a freshly branded Utah Mammoth franchise, the final season of future Hall of Famer Alex Ovehckin, and obviously so much more.
The season will include a Winter Olympic break in February before continuing the second half as the Florida Panthers look to become the first team since the 1980 to 1983 New York Islanders to win three Stanley Cups in a row.
A lot else is at stake: Is this Connor McDavid’s last year with the Oilers? (Imagine if he gets traded?) Will the Toronto Maple Leafs shake off playoff rust? Will Gary Bettman stop blacking out games?
