Catalin Onc and Elena Engelhardt, a German couple who run an Instagram “influencer” account, are currently under fire from the internet after creating a GoFundMe page asking strangers for roughly $11,200 to fund their ‘tandem bike ride’ to Africa.
The internet was already understandably not pleased over their misuse of the GoFundMe platform in the first place, but kicked the resentment into 6th gear after learning that Catalin’s mom is already working two jobs to fund their travels.
