OK at first I was also convinced this house was ridiculously cursed. Just a textbook haunting. How could you even flip this, Craig? Burn it to the ground and spare some poor homebuyer from an inevitable, gradual descent into madness. At least have the property exorcised first.

But then I thought about it. This could have just as easily been done by a well-meaning but bumbling parent. The “Mora wish you a sweet dreams zzzzz” could have been a heartfelt message for his daughter, who had trouble sleeping sometimes, but his English sucks so he bungled the sentence and his painting skills suck so he accidentally splattered some on the wall. Maybe the English skills are weak because he’s a foreigner from an island nation… that would certainly explain the sticker of a window looking out at tropical bungalows. As far as the rope light goes… people from different parts of the world have different furnishing tastes. Russian people like hanging carpets on the walls, Asian people like toilets that sodomize you with water, and maybe this guy’s tropical homeland likes lights dangling from ropes. Different strokes.
