Here at theCHIVE we get some kind letters from time to time. I don’t make a habit of posting them. However, I think this letter from an anonymous police officer in Los Angeles sums up the core ethos of the theCHIVE and I thought I’d share it (Plus, the guy’s penmanship is amazing).
Sometimes, it’s not so much about what you do as what you don’t do. theCHIVE made a choice long ago not to immerse ourselves in the cacophony of anger and politically charged snark that has fueled the internet and the country the past six months. Herein you will find a refuge from the acrimony, a gentler place with a community of kind people who simply want to laugh and help others.
