Most inventions probably seem kooky at first.
After all, an invention is a brand new thing that nobody has successfully built or possibly even dreamed up before. So the sudden existence of some object that didn’t previously exist is bewildering.

The late 19th century and early 20th century, basically after the breakthroughs of the Industrial Revolution allowed for easier manufacturing, brought with it a golden age of invention.
Radio? TV? Cars? Good.
Not so good? These strange inventions that really did exist that just didn’t take off because they were bonkers or deemed mostly useless.
