Every thing, every bit of stuff, has a name. I think that’s kind of cute.
For example: Apparently that metal dome thing that goes on top of plates at fancy restaurants and room service cheeseburgers has a name.
I never knew this until well into adulthood.
Certainly, other things that we see every day have to have names, too, right?
Like, people have to order those giant machines they have at the eye doctor and ask for them by name.
And scientists have to know what they’re talking about when they talk about stomach rumbling.
At long last, here are the real and actual names of all those things I always wondered about having a real and actual name, and some other ones, too.
