Egypt has been riddled with tragedies over the last week. First the Ever Given cargo ship blocked the Suez Canal, disrupting shipping between Asia and Africa. Only three days later, two trains crashed into each other in Tahta in central Egypt, killing 32 people. A day after that, an apartment building in Cairo collapsed on itself, killing another 18 people.
