For those of you who don’t know Kelly Kirkpatrick, a friend, fellow Chiver and member of the Lone Star Chivers Austin Chapter, you’re missing out on a wonderful life experience. I met Kelly a few years back and after sharing a few stories over drinks (the way God intended stories to be shared) Kelly asked me “can we take a quick selfie if you don’t mind?”
“Of course, why not?” He took the shot and then proceeded to share with me a whole arsenal of photos he’d taken prior of Chivers from all over the globe. “They’re my personal ‘Kelfie’ collection, Bob”. I loved it! One thing I learned about Kelly that day is that he truly is a friend of everyone. And as fate would have it, the legend is turning 50 years old today! The big 5-0!! So I thought we could all wish the man a Happy Birthday and raise a glass to celebrate that iconic smile he’s so famous for. Below are some of my favorite Kelfie’s I’ve seen over the years, and believe me when I say I’m just scratching the surface here.
