I saw a video recently where some students woke up their sleeping friend by clapping together. The sleeping friend woke up and started clapping as well, before he stopped and went “WTF?”
It was hilarious, and it made me think… Why do we clap? I mean, I know that we typically clap to show appreciation, but why do we essentially high-five ourselves in order to do it?
